Serious Complication if Left Untreated

interventional radiology

Surgeries May Have Serious Complications. Interventional Radiology Does Not.

The fundamental principle of interventional radiology revolves around employing the most non-surgical techniques currently accessible for diagnosing and treating patients. These procedures entail lower levels of risk, reduced pain, and shorter recovery periods compared to traditional open surgery.

Risks of surgery include:

  • Infection risk
  • Bleeding
  • Blood clots
  • Anesthesia complications:
  • Organ or tissue damage
  • Scarring and wound healing issues
  • Adverse reactions and complications

The good news is that interventional radiology offers a safer alternative to surgery.
